FIRE IN A PRISON.
FRANTIC V/OBIEN CONVICTS. DRAGGED FHOM THEIR CEIXS. (Received 10.50 a.m.) . NEW YORK, April 13. Convicts at Lansing, Kansas, set firo'to the prison buildings in an endeavour to escape. Women criminal lunatics became frantic at the sight and fought warders. They had to be forcibly dragged out of the cells and removed elsewhere. Six hundred convicts acted as volunteer firemen. Many were injured, and the prison was partially- destroyed.
