A fire occurred at 10 o'clock laefc night in a lumber room of premises owned by ~SIt6. Green, and occupied by G.. (J. ' Young and Co., auctioneers. Some dan- : age was done to the premises, and tin stock was damaged by fire and water. The fire burnt through, to the staiicair leading'up to the Westgort tearoonu, occupied by Misses Gondon and Bird, but had made little headway when the brigade arrived and put it out. X&e buildings were insured, but the amount was unascertainable. stock, valued at £1500, was insured for £700 in the Guardian Office. The only dam*gt done to the tearooms was by smoke.
