PREMIERS VISIT TO THE GOLDFIELDS.
■At a meeting of the Te Aroha Chamber of Commerce held this week, it was stated that the Hon. W. F. Masscy was expected to visit Waihi about the middle of April, and concerted action should be taken by the Piako County Council, the Te Aroha Borough Council, and the Chamber of Commerce to' obtain a visit from the Premier to, their district. There were several urgent matters which might be brought before, Mr- Massey's notice, including the withdrawal of Te Aroha. from the Gqldfields district, and the granting of the freehold to Te lAroha property owners. . The ' latter matter, it was pointed out, was an urgent necessity, as under the present ienure matters were being held up which might otherwise be brought forward. Tils formation of a brick area within the borough had been discussed by.the •Borough Council, but the matter was left in aT>eyance uritilv the tenure wae altered. It was ultimately , decided to invite the - Premier to visit' Te "'_ Aroha, and also to write. to the Hon; >W. H. : Hemes, seeking; his assistance ./towards obtaining the freehold.' ' ..'■■
