AT POINT OF THE BAYONET.

(By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright)

(Received 10.45 a.m.)

LONDON, April 1.

English correspondents at Hademkeui assert that a brilliant Turkish victory was yon at Chataldja on Saturday. Following their usual tactics the Bulgars drove a wedge into the Turkish line occupying a steep hill. An attempt was then made to turn the Turkish position, but this was resisted, and eventually the Turks routed the Bulgars at the point of the bayonet and occupied the hill.

Four thousand Bulgarians were killed or wounded.

Router's Constantinople agency reports that Turkey has accepted the" Powers' terms of peace.

A warm controversy is raging in Scrvia and Bulgaria over to whom .belongs the credit of capturing Adrianople, and especially as to who captured Chukri Pasha. The latest phase is detailed in a semiofficial statement in Sofia disproving Servia's claims.
