NEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) PALMEUSTON NOKTH, Monday. The New Zealand polo tournament was continued to-day in beautifnl weather. The Savllle Cup was advanced to the final, which will be played to-morrow between the Te Awamutu players nnd the Gisborne team. The latter are picked to win at long odds. The Gisborne ponies are superior. To-day also the handicap cup was advanced a stage. The results of to-day's play are as follow:— Saville Cnp.—Te Awamutu defeated Ha warden B by 9 goals- to. 1. Play, was very one-sided. Mangabeia (Gisborne) de-. feated Hawke's Bay B by 9 goals to 2. Handicap Cup.—ParawariUi (4 goals) beat Remuera (12 goals), 18 to 14.. To-morrow's drawings are:—Handicap Cup—Kangitikel play Hr.warden A, Hawke's Bay play Hawarden B. Savllle Cup final— Mangabeia play Te Awamutu. On Wednesday a gymkhana meeting will be held, and on Thursday there will be a polo "ball in tbe Town Hall.

The annual meeting of the Xew Zealand Polo Association was held 'to-night, Mr. K. S. Abraham presiding. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £80. Three new clubs were alllliated during the year, which shows polo to be ou the increase. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, his Excellency the Governor; vice-president, Mr. A. E. G. Rhodes (ChristchU—); hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. P. L. Levien (Palmerston); committee, Messrs. A. Elworthy, H. A. Russell, G. L. Rutherford, M. Murphy, G. M. Reynolds. It was resolved, "That it be a recommendation to the incoming committee that tbe 1915 tournament be held at Auckland." Auckland and Christchurch delegates put iv a claim for next year's tourneys. The vote was 13 to 11 In favour of Christchurch. It was resolved that the date of tournaments be announced before each Christmas. An invitation from Victoria to send a team across was left in the hands of the committee.
