SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
aARAXGAHAKE MIXER DfJIJRED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A miner named William O'Neill was severely injured at the Talisman mine, Karangahake, on Saturday. It appears that he was coming up on the skip from Xo. 13 level, when the accident occurred. Biding on the skip is strictly .prohibited. O'X-eil was conveyed to the "Waihi Hospital. On making inquiries this afternoon. I was informed that, though not out of danger, the injured man had improved under treatment. His lung had been compressed a≤ a result of the accident, and he was also suffering from chronic asphyxis and irritation c£ the spine.
