THE INNAMINCKA.
SYDNEY, February 2. The coastal steamer Innamincka is still on Alexandra reef. A small steamer is attempting to tow her off. A message from Port Douglas stales that the steamer Cecil Rhodes has sailed for Cairns with the Innamincka's passengers aboard.
The Innamincka's passengers were brought to Cairns in the tug Cecil Rhodes. The cyclone raged for 36 hours, and the Innamincka was compelled to anchor under Cape Grafton. The cables parted, and she was driven north-east and finally struck on a mud bank at the mouth of the Mowbray River, four miles south of Port Douglas. It is expected that she will be refloated. The steamer Palmer, damaged by the cyclone, was towed to Cairns.
