opera Hocaa, Fuller's Vaudeville drew a large and «■• thuslastie audience at the Opera lions* last evenlnc. when Anita Diaz and net monkeys, Moanier and Frans, the National Duo, all acred successes. PICTTBB ENTERTAINMENTS. A new programme will be presented by the management of West's Picture* this evening;. The star film Is "Plant Life," showing various phases In the growth of plants. Another attraction is a fllm taken In Auckland, and the regular comic and dramatic subjects are also good. The current programme at the King's Theatre attracted another large house, aid was much appreciated. Stewart's Pictures, Newton, were largely attended last evening. ROLLER SKATING. A "black snd white" evening will be held to-night at the Princes Rink, and a largo attendance Is expected. The Windsor Rink continues to provide excellent amusement for skaters, and Is well attended. Large attendances are the role at thS GUdeaway Rink. Coburg-street, "THE RTVALS." The Y.MC.A. Hall was crowded last evening, when the Auckland Shakespear*. Society read Sheridan's brilliant comedy "The Rivals." The Society were mors at home with this piece than with some of tIK Shakespearean readings- Aa Mrs. Malaprog Mrs. McCallum was a notable success, and the part of Sir Anthony Absolut* was weft taken by. Mr.. Harris. All the other parts were ably represented, and the eveslnf proved very enjoyable.
