... f TAMAKL Tile first annual meeting of the 'HowickTamaki Presbyterian charge was held in West Tamaki CSHirch on Thursday, 313t August, the Rev. R. Ferguson, pastor of the charge, presiding. The session, Sunday schools, and financial reports were read and adopted. The attendances at all the preach- [ lng stations have largely Increased since Mj Ferguson's induction on loth May. The Sunday Schools are In a nourishing condition, .Uxbridge Sunday School, Hwwick, , however, is much handicapped for want of teachers to replace those who have recently left the district. A Bible Class has been started by Mr Ferguson. The financial statement was most encouraging. Mr Henry Andrew, «enr., was elected genera! treasurer, and Rev. T. F. Robertson and ' Us G. L Nicholson, auditor. A few songs and a reading given by the West Tamski i friends were Interspersed throughout the i meeting. They also most kindly provided light refreshment. WAIPU. A football match was played on Saturday between the local team and a team from i Alaungaturoto. The visitors won by 6 points to nil (a penalty kick and a try).
