DEATH OF MR. T. BOWLING.

Private advice was received in Auckland to-day by Mr H. B. Massey that Mr Theo Bowling, the well-known Auckland sportsman, died at Christchurch on Sat urday evening. Mr Bowling left Auckland for thr.-.ichurch last mon;h to see iiis horse AntarcU-c compete attheC.J.C. National mee.iing, and just after thy gathering concluded, was in such a weak state of health that he had to be removed to a private hospital. Despite every attention he gradually sank, and ihe end came on vSaturday. Mr Bowling has been in indifferent hoalth for some time, and his death was not unexpected. The body will be brought to Auckland for interment.
