FOSTER'S ADHESIVE COMPOSITION CO. The brokers, Messrs. Moore-Jones, report that the application for shares in this company has been so satisfactory to date that the flotation is assured, a pleasing feature being the number of applications coming in from those closely associated with engineering. The scope of Mr. Foster"* composition is far-reach-ing, and the demand that is likely to set in for it when known should place shareholders in a very happy position. The consumption of insulating material such as asbestos and vegetable pulp runs into many thousands of tons per annum, indicating dearly that thousands of gallons of Foster's "Key" must be consumed, as it is very certain that little or no insulating in the future will be undertaken without the assistance of this composition where convenience, time, labour, durability and cost is a desideratum. — (Ad.) A propos— p ...... brought before the Waterside Workers' Conference by Mr. McKay (Wanganiri) as foHows: —"That legislation be passed whereby all workers shall receive their nolidavs throughout the year on the same day all through the Dominion, with the object of doing away with the general mix-up, -which is now of very frequent occurrence, as the holidays are at present observed." The motion was fully discussed, but was not endorsed by the conference, an amendment being adopted on the motion of Mr. T. Smith (Wellington) that the legislation recently introduced to "Mondayise" ail holidays except Christmas Day and Good Friday be approved.
