FINE PRACTICE SHOOTING. ! (From Our Special rorresponceut.) LONDON. .Tniy 14. The New Zealand team at Bislev finished their practice shoots last Saturday. Whilst we hi London were sweltering under n second-hand American heat ware, Bisley was favoured with a fair amount of cold. showery weather and high winds. Nevertheless, the New Zealand riflemen showed excellent form, I.oveday and James being the pick of the basket. Iu the short range aggregates Loveday, who represents New Zealand in the Prince of Wales' match, finished up with a practice total of UPS. Franks following with 1103, Marshall 11H2, Henderson 1101. Ou Monday, wheu the Bisley meeting officially opened, the New Zealauders took part in several sweepstakes, but only Fvt D. Roots and Pvt. W. Cox handled any cash for their efforts. The former, with a score of 34 at 200 yards, won £5. and the latter a like amount with 33 points at 300 yards, the H.P. being 35 in each case. On Tuesday New Zealanders were again "ap ongst the money," the winners being Rifleman Cuthhertson and Pvt. Roots. The former won £l. with a s<-ore of 34. In a 200vds sweepstakes (7 shots), and anothe: pound with 33 points at 600 yards. RootP v.-on first prize (£5) In a 300 yards' event with a score of 34. and another "fiver" with 35 at 500 yards, in which event no lees than eight competitors scored H.P.'s Yesterday Bomb.
