"'' The Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland hereby give notice in pursuance of Section S of the principal Act:— , 1- That the several purposes for -which the respective loans are required and the sum proposed to be borrowed for each such purpose are as follows:— (a) The extension and improvement of the Auckland Waterworks by tlie construction of a Storage Reservoir for the Water Supply of the City of Auckland at Nihotupu, the purchase and laying of new mains for the conveyance of the water from Nihottrpu towards the said City, and the purchase and laying of new mains for the improvement of the Water Supply Reticulation In the said City £150,000 (b) The purchase of part Allotment 9 and Allotment 10 of Section S. Suburbs of Auckland, at the foot of Shelly Beach-rd., containing about 12 acres, for the purpose of a Public Park, and the laying out and Improvement of such property for such purpose .. £22,000 (c) The construction of Swimming Baths in Waitemata Harbour, off Shelly Beach £5,000 (d) The construction of Swimming Baths in the vicinity of Hobson and Customs sts £10,000 (c) The construction of Swimming Baths on the old Reservoir Site, bounded by Karangaliape and Ponsonby rds., Hereford and Hopetoun ets £5,000 (f) The erection of a suitable building, and tbe furnishing and equipment thereof for the purposes of a Branch to the Public Library on the Water Works property in Mt. Eden-rd £3,000 2. That the Auckland city Council hcing unable to provide the necessary funds for snch works, or either, or any of them out of the ordinary revenues of the City of Aucklnnd, proposes to borrow the above respetcive sums or sums Hot exceeding the above respective amount* in respect of each of the above respective purposes against which the respective amount Is placed. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of each and every of such Loans shall be the revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing Loans chargeable on such revenues. 4. That the Auckland City Council proposes to make each of such Loans repayable in 21 years, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of £* per cent per annum in respect of each snch loan. 5. That the Auckland City Council proposes to pay out of each of such Loans snch costs, charges, and expenses' as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with each respective Loan, but not the interest thereon for the first year. That the Auckland City Council hcing unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of the ordinary revenues of the City of Anckland proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £225,000. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be the revenues of the City of Auckland subject to the existing loans chargeajb-le on so-ch revenues. 4.
