Lord Kitchener has arranged for colonial scouts to line a portion of the route to Westminster Abbey on Coronation Day, and to participate in a rally of 20,000 bo£ scouts at Windsor on July 4.

The Hon. D. Buddo, Minister for Internal Affairs, arrived from the Thames this afternoon, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. J. Black. For the past five days the Minister has been inspecting the drainage works on the Piako and Rangitaiki swamps, and states that good progress Is being made at both places with the operations" in hand. This evening Jlr. Buddo, who is staving at the Star Hotel during his visit to Auckland, will be present at the Chamber of Commerce dinner in the Northern Club. Arrangements have been made to enable Mr. James Allen to deliver a political address at Devonport next Monday, June 19th, at the Devonport Parish Hall, and his Worship the Mayor of Devonport has consented to preside.
