ANTI-MODERNISM.
THE PAPAL ENCYCLICAL. OBJECTIONS IN EUROPE. LONDON, November 12. An objection against the imposition of the Pope's anti-Modernist creed within their respective countries and upon university professors and ecclesiastics holding State offices has been lodged, reports the Milan correspondent of the "Daily Chronicle," by the Austro-Hungarian and Bavarian Governments. J The correspondent also reports that Bavaria further declines to ratify the Japal Mandate, ordering the Catholic professors to submit proposed lectures to the censorship of the anti-Modernist officials appointed by the Vatican.
