THE FIRST DRAW. The council of the Cricket Association met last night, aud drew the teams to meet for the opeiiiug day's play, ou Saturday. Following is the result of the draw: — FIRST GRADE. Eden v. Grafton (at the Domain). Eden B v. Parnell B (at Eden Park). Waitemata v. North Sliore (at North Shore). Permission was granted to the following to play for tlie clubs mentioned:—S. P. Jones, for ['aruell; F. Ward, for Eden; and F. Shackloek, for Grafton.

A competition which should excite keen interest is advertised in this issue. No less than thirty prizes are offered, and the conditions of entry are simple and inexpensive.
