CAMBRIDGE.
On Wednesday afternoon the Leamington Lawn Tennis Club opened the season upon the courts in tie Domain grounds. Ihe opening ceremony was <perfo-rmed by Mr. Wm. White (chairman of the Domain iioaxd) in the absence of the president of tho club Mrs. Edmunds, wife of the viceprpskient, sent a ball over the net, and play then commenced. A recherche afternoon tea was provided and dispensed by; White and Boyce, the Misses Blunt, Macky. Bailey, White, ana B. O Neil. The last-mentioned also discharged the microns duties of hon. secretary to the club iv an manner. Mr. C. Boye.e, junr.. has been appointed b'UHlmester to the -Cambridge Band, the former one (Mr. C. S. Stewart) having gone, to reside in Auckland. I
