FOREST FIRES.
SHELTERING THE HOMELESS. NEW YORK, October 12. The fires in the lumber country of Northern Minnesota are now confined to unpopulated areas. The destroyed towns of Spooner and Beaudette will be rebuilt. The erection of temporary shelters for the homeless has begun, and train loads of provisions for the sufferers are arriving.
