CI.OAKMAKERS' RETURN.

NEW YORK, August 29
Committees of the cloakmakers of New York., who have been out on strike for some months, and of the manufacturers, are arranging a settlement on the basis of recognition of the union, a neutral committee to fix the rate of wages and the hours of labour.
The employers have agreed to employ two unionists to one non-unionist.
