SPOTTED FEVER IN ENGLAND.
SPREADING THROUGH THE MIDLANDS. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. Spotted fever (eerebro-spinal meningitis) is reported from ten villages extending over an area of 50 miles in the Midlands. The schools in the affected area have been closed. Four deaths have occurred in Leicestershire, and one in Nottingham.
