DETAILED DESCRIPTION "WANTED. KILLING THE TRADE. (Received 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. The Chamber of Commerce is discussin- the need of urgent representations concerning the American Governments circular compelling exporters from Europe to forward to the American Consulate specimens of cottons, silks, woollens and other goods intended for exportation to America. Every article must be described in detail, including quality, weight, gauge and number of threads. I It is contended by manufacturers that I new designs will be seriously injured by the publication of details, and that ! exports will be extinguished.
