The Thames Mortch.—ln view of the fact that the seven aside tournament was announced to take place on the same date as the Thames-Auckland match, it was decided to postpone the tournament, and hold the inter-union match on the original date, June 25. Kugby In the North.—Correspondence with reference to the position of football in North Auckland was received, disclosing the fact that much discord existed. After discussion it was decided to adnrit the Hikurangi Union to affiliation with the Auckland Kugby Union; and, further, it was resolved ■to advise the various authorities controlling Rugby in the North that towards the end of this season they would be expected to form a union, to -be known as the Northern Union. For the time being cup competitions would be allowed to continue under present conditions. Transfers.— It was decided that no transfers, as affecting the grading of players, can be made after Wednesday in each weelc A similar resolution re the transfer of a player from one club to another ■was also adopted. It was stated that no player could transfer to any dub after July 1. Further, it was decided that law 22 be altered so as not to be applicable to the Newton senior team, which, has censed to exist A Protest Dismissed. —The Marist Bros. Old Boys' Club protested against J. Petersou being allowed to play for the City Club. This player took p.irt in a march against the Marist Bros, on Saturday hist, being, they alleged, already a professional, because of the fact that he had played in a match under the auspices of the Northern Rugby Union. The defence was* that it was a scratch match, and this view the committee upheld, the protest being dismissed. LOWER WAIKATO RUGBY UNION. JUNIOR COMPETITIONS. The following team will represent Himtly against the Kia Ora (Maori team) at Huntly on Saturday: — Fullback, Brocldebank; three-quarters, Gibson, Evans, Cailaghan; five-eighths, J.
