Annual Report.—The annual report stated that the past year bad not been successful from a financial standpoint, attributable to loss of revenue throngn bad weather affecting attendance at the summer show. Although the Society's accounts showed a debit balance, there should be no cause lor any misgivings as regards the general interest -shown in the altairs of the Society by the public and exhibitors. Extra vases and plant necessitated by an increase of exhibits had entailed an expenditure of £30 8/. The success of the experiment in holding a special sweet pea and carnation show, held on December 11th, was recorded, and an intimation given that it would be made an annual fixture. The autumn show was held quite ten days too early for chrysanthemum blooms, and it was pointed out the committee would need to seriously consider the question of holding the show a few weeks earlier, aiKl abajMloning chrysanthemums, if srowcrs did not wake up and display more Interest in the cultivation and exhibition oi the bloom. The death of Mr. T.
