PURE FOOD.
(Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. After fifteen clays' sitting, the Interstate Pure Foods Conference, composed of merchants, doctors, and departmental experts, has formulated a uniform standa-rd for foods which, it is claimed, while protecting the public health, will promote inter-State trade and leave a fair margin of profit to manufacturers and retailers. The scheme needs Parliamentary sanction.
