IN A WHIRLPOOL
BOATING PARTY DROWNED, l^ THIRTY-TWO LIVES LOST. DEVOURED BY SHARKS. (By Cable.—Press Association.— Copyright) (Received 8.30 ajn.) CAPETOWN, June 8. A dreadful boating disaster is reported from Inyack, Delagoa Bay. A party of thirty-two, mostly Portu- <3 guese. and including nine children, was a out on the bay in a large boat, which * was suddenly drawn into a huge whirl- E pool. , Amid a terrible scene from panicstricken occupants the boat capsized, precipitating all into the swirling c waters. All efforts to rescue them were rendered impossible, there being no craft available large enough to approach the whirlpool, and all were drowned. The bay was teeming with sharks, and . many of the unfortunate victims were devoured. t
