PAPAL DENUNCIATION.
PROTESTS IN GERMANY. BEKLiIX., June 6. The Papal Encyclical, issued on the tercentenary of St. Carlo Borromeo, who ■was canonised by Pope Paul X. in 1610; contained a severe denunciation of Protestant reformers and their influence in modern times. This has led to vehement protests in Germanj'. • The interpellations, referring to the Protestant reformers, were referred to in the Prussian Diet, and an evangelical mass meeting of protests is to be held in Berlin on the 12th inst.
