TATTERSALL TICKET DISPUTE
PROCEEDINGS AT WAIHL (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WATHI.. .this, day. In the Police Court this morning before Messrs. Moore and Holmes, Justices, the case against Kneebone and Pennell. arising out of a Tattersai! ticket dispute! was opened. Mr. Dennkton appeared on behalf of Harman and Bowman, Mr. Lundon for Kneebone, and Mr. Hackett for Pennell. The Court was packed. Mr. iLundon said he relied on the cvi- ', dence to commit both of the accused I for trial. He alleged that Barman and j Bowman each paid 6/ to Pennell in re- j epect of tickets, that when Pennell re- i ceived intimation of the win he went to | Harman. threw his arms round his neck and kissed him; that he then proposed ■to Harman to cut out Bowman, but j Harman refused; that Pennell then went j to Bowman and made a similar suggestion with respect to Harman, but the former also refused. Counsel further alleged that Kneebone posed as a partner to Brown, the bank manager. Evidence lis now -being,, taken.
