The big sheep fair held at Paparoa by the Northern 'Farmers' Union proved a record sale for Otumutea. 4(!50 sheep and iambs were yarded, and practically all were disposed of at (rates running from 1/ to 2/6 more than -was obtained at the last sale. First-class ewes brought about 17/G, and tombs from 4/ to S/.
