GOVERNOR'S FAREWELL TOUR.
AUCKLAND THE FINAL PORT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. His Excellency the Governor will remain in Wellington during Lord Kitchener's visit to the city, and until Tuesday, when he will preside at the meeting for the election of a Rhodes scholar. On Wednesday he will proceed to Napier, returning to Wellington on Friday. He will go South next day, and will visit the Hurunui district, thence on "to the West Coast via Otira Gorge, returning to Wellington on or about 13th March. Afterwards he will make a visit to Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, and on his return here in April will proceed northwards via Tokaanu on to the Bay of Plenty and Thames, returning to Wellington via the Waikato. Farewell visits are then to be paid to the chief southern centres, and to the principal towns between Wellington and Auckland, his final port of departure for England. His Excellency will break his journey in Australia.
