ATJC____Nl> BOWING CLUB. . The following crews c&nipeted for trophies presented by Mr A. Kohn, vicepresident of the club:—Bloomfleld (stroke), Gentles, Walsh, Willis; Liornibrooke (stroke), _. tteid, CfosSley, Thorpe; Murray (stroke), Si_el, Walker, Metge; Cannon (stroke), Tallis, Moses, Martin; Darby (stroke), J. li. Wilson, A. Iteid, Gibbins; King (stroke), R. A. Wilson, Ball, Dromgonl; Gash (stroke). Drawer, Connelly James; Strickett (stroke), Swain, Midgley, Ellis. The races were postponed from Saturday, the 4th February,' the heats being rowed during the weeks, and the final took place on Monday evening at 5.30 p_m. The first heat proved rather an easy win for BlOorhfield'S crew, with Strickett second, and Murray a poor third. lh the second heat Hornlbrooke and Cannon com- | peted. Cannon winning by a length. The : third heat was won by King's crew. In the final, crews stroked by Bloomfleld, King, and Cannon faced the starter, and after a , neck and heck "go" from start to finish, Bloomfield's crew proved superior, being [ a bare length away from King, with Cannon three lengths away. The winning crew consisted of W. Bldomfleid (stroke), J. A. Gentles (3), M. _. Walsh (2), S. Willis (how), n_d Gordon Wilson (co_). The deputy captain (Mr W. Barber) gave every satisfaction as starter.
