_~* 'the Convention of the Women's Qniatian Temperance Union to-day the report showed that the receipts were £ 332 12/6, and the expendifcne £245 9/7, leaving a credit balance * £S7 2/11. The sum of £2302 12/ jjad passed through the local treasuries uirring the year, leaving a total 'balance of £615 6/S. Each Union showed a credit balance. The report of the TJnlermented Wine Department showed ™at the Nonconformist churches with fay f ew exceptions used unfennented *?« at Communion, as did also a few of the Anglican churches. The purity report was presented by Mrs. Webb, of Onnondville. Much literature had been crcolated. and addresses given to girls "■ad women.
