At the rccretntlon ground on Saturday, the Catholic Men's Club beat the V.M.C.A. by S3 runs In the first Innings. TYoollen Mills v. Gordon Tent, 1.0.R, (at recreation ground).—Gordon Tent, Ist InnIngs, 43 (Leathart 17, Wolfe 11). Bowling for Woollen Mills, Cross took five wicket* for 15 runs, Pullan four for 11, Caldow one for 11. Woollen Mills, first innings, 57 (Crowther 26, Anderson 8, Cross 7). Bowling for Gordon Tent, J. Mann took five wickets for 10 runs, Moore two for 13, De Baugh •two for 20, G. Jeffrey one for 6. Gordon Tent, 2nd innings, two wickets for 19 (J. Mann 12). Woollen Mills won by 14 nins. On Saturday a match took place at Onetree Hill Domain; between Oongregatlonals and Methodists. The following is the scoring: Methodists, Ist innings, 35, Congregatlonals 30; second innings, Methodists 83, Congregatlonals 37, winning by live wickets. For the Cox put up 33 runs (not out), Urquhart 13 runs, George 10 runs (not out); while for the Methodists, Breese secured 14 runs, , ,and Sutherland 7. For the Congregatlonalists , , George took ten wickets for 37 runs, ana Same S wickets for 22 runs; and for th« Methodists Hayiward took nine wickets for 12 runs and Breese four wickets for 37.

At a meeting of the Mcnagement Committee of the New ZealandiCrlcket Council to-night, it was resolved so telegraph to the Auckland Association that in view of the report that Relf isas leaving the Dominion on February 24, the committee must have a definite assunnce that Relf will qualify for 'the Plunkei shield match, otherwise he must not play [against Otago. It was also resolved to permit Macartney to play in the shield math, for Otago against Auckland, relying »n the Otago captain's assurance that hi will qualify in accordance with rule 9. It was decided to send a similar notice to Hawke's Bay in reference to Board.
