Owing to Anniversary Day turning out so wet, the Onehunga Presbyterian Sunday Scliool picnic, which was to have been held on that day, was postponed till Satarday, when a most enjoyable afternoon was spent by the children in the One-tree Hill Domain. A number of races, were run by the children, and a great many prizes were distributed to the children, during the afternoon. A taxi-cab came to grief yesterday afternoon thrcragh colliding ■with a, lamp post in Lower Queen-street, Onehunga. One of the occupants fell out ibut was not seriously hurt, and the driver and the other three passengers retained their seats. The lamp-post was broken and ■knoekod down, while one of tie wiieels of the cub was wrenched off.
