Barbara Craigie qualified on Saturday night for two additions to her' list of about 50 convictions, drunk, and using bad language, jßi , lady has been convicted of vagrancy several times, and of drunkenness,; obscenity and such offences many tiinei She has been punished severely at times, and. at other times efforts have teen made to reform her. The remit for good has been practically nil, for sin has compiled ter account since January, 1904, and for a considerable portion of that time has been in gaol or in homes of one sort and another.' THEFT. James Home was charged that toing the month of December he stole t lady's gold pin, rvalue 12/6. Accwed was working as. a porter at a boardinghouse, and he stole the pin from a lady who was residing there. He afterward* pawned the fin, and the theft yn* thereby discovered. He pleaded "guilty," and "was sent to gaol for thitt months. ALLEGED ASSAULT. Edward Bowles -was charged that M the 6th February he assaulted his wife, Agnes Jane •Bowles, by kicking her on the eye. There were several stow* hinted" at when accused's solicitor »p\ plied for an adjournment. The poliM allege that there was an assault and a violent one, and that it occurred il Albert Park last night, at a" time when the park was full of people. Defendant alleges justification, and denies the msault, and complainant denies the justification. At any rate, Mrs. Bowles b*» a very bad eye indeed.. Accused waf_ remanded for a week.
