The annual meeting of the members of the Hmitly Public Library was hcid In the Reading Room on the evening of Monday last. Sir J. A. I'arkes in the chair. The secretary intimated -that the income for the year had been £51 10/; expenditure, £41 17/6: balance on hand, £9 17/0. The following office bearers were elected for the following year: Chairman. Mr J A Piirkes; secretary, Mr W. H. Bniley; treasurer, Mr J. W. Wilson;, trustees, Messrs Green and Thompson.
