MAXAWATTJ CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph.- Press Association.) PADMBHSTON NORTH, Friday. In the finai for the Mnnawatu golf championship Miss Snodgrass, of Weltport defeated Mrs. Bevau, the New Zealand champion, on the 19th green. Mrs. Bevan was I ordered by the doctor not to play, but did I so, and was continually short on the greens I which were wet from the rain, but the golf I was nevertheless excellent, Miss Snodgrass going up to 40, only one over par and I finishing in 02, to Mrs. Bevan's 93 Miss Gould, 70— 6—G4, won the 14-hole' stroke handicap.
