BUDGET LICENSES.
AMENDING THE SCHEME. CONSIDERABLE REDUCTIONS. (Received 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, August 27. The Government's amended licensing icheme considerably reduces the duties on hotels, restaurantsand t' eatres. In lieu of licenses, the scheme makes clubs pay 6d in the pound on purchases, Instead of 3d on sales.
