COLLIERY DISASTER.
A BROKEN CAGE CABLE. SIX KILLED, SIXTEEN INJURED. (Received 8.45 a.m.) August 27. A cage containing thirty miners fell from near the top to the bottom of the naval colliery at Penygrag, Glamorganshire, through the breaking of the cable. Six men were killed outright, while sixteen others were severely injured.
