In the House of Commons to-day Mr Lloyd George introduced the Development | Bill, to enable the Treasury to make grants of loans aiding the development of forestry, agriculture, and rural industries, the construction and in.,movement of harbours and canals, and the. develop- i nent of fisheries. The hill also constitutes a road board for the construction of road.s primarily confined to motor traffic, where the speed limit will not iipply, or to provide for the improvement of existing roads tor motorists.
