i; ' A TENDER ACCEPTED. s (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) 7 f WELLINGTON, this day. The Government has accepted a tenf der for erection of the new Auckland post a office on the site chosen by Sir Joseph I Ward on the Queen-street front of the - railway station property. The new post s office will be built according to the original design, which was modified to the cxl tent of reducing it by one storey and by I the elimination of some of the subdivii sions. These alterations were made ow- - ing to the original tenders largely exceedr ing the estimate, but the building will be so constructed that it will be possible to complete the structure according to the original plan when this is justified by th e further expansion of the business of the department.
