BO3.OTJGH NOTICES. ,T)EVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Devonport Borough Council, held on the 30th day of March, IyOO, a ReSolution was passed: — 1. That By-law No. 2, part 12. sections 134 to las, be repealed. , 2. That By-law of 2Uth <lay of April, 1904, re Fares to be "charged for the conveyance of passengers by Licensed Vehicles plying for hire, excepting such as run (on a llsed time-table, be amended as follows:— •-■ ' - . - - -i- ■ Add after "Stanley Bay," in area "A,"' i, —IVhere one passenger is conveyed, Ud: where two or more passengers T are conveyed. 4d per head. Add after area, "A." in area "TB" — V Where one passenger is conveyed, (id: where twc or more passengers are conveyed. 6<l per head. Clause hire by time be deleted. To rhe Racecourse, on race days, the fare" shall be 6(1. in lieu of;3d per head, After S p.m., fare and' a-half may be charged, remain. "-■'" ■' Clauses re any — ispute and re printed card be maintained. That the following new Clauses be included: — A driver of a licensed vehicle shall not— (a) Demand more than the exact amount due under these By-laws for any hiring. (b) Neglect, refuse, or fail to punctually carry out any hiring he has agreed to take. (s) Without reasonable excuse, neglect, refuse, or fail to drive such vehicle to any place within the areas or to the places aforesaid to which he is directed to drive by the person hiring or. wishing io hire such vehicle. PENALTIES. —Every person guilty of a breach of any of the provisions of these Bylaws shall be liable to a penalty nq't exceeding twenty pounds; or, where the breach is c continuing one, then to a penalty not exceeding five pounds for every day or part of a day during which such breach continues. •• - - -' ' ■ < -' And Notice is hereby also given that the eaid Resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Council's Offices, Marine Parade, Devonport, on WEDNESDAY, .tlie sth day of May, 1909,'at'7.30 o'clock p.m., for confirmation as a Special Order.
