ASSOCIATION'S ANNTAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Auckland Hoc* key Association was held last, night. There was a good, attendance. Mr. Bees George presided. The report stated that the past season; had been the best on record. There had been eight shield matches, but the "cbaHelar j?ers—TarauakE] (Canterbury.- Manawatu. Nelson. Thames, Wellington, and ■'Wanganui i —had all failed to take away the shield.' I A team visited the Thames, and won by j four goals to- two. The selectors—Messrs. I ■WiitJey, Tfrttlcy. and Shirriffs—had made I judicious selections of the teams. Auckland I team won tb.e championship, and the second i and third premier-ships were annexed, by I the V.M.C.A. teams. North Shore and Unitarian teams had joined during the seasou, and there were now 12 clubs ta the association, which"nniaber secured the'association two representatives on the iN'e-w Zealand Association.
