SHOT BY A BURGLAR.
SYDNEY, April 1. Russell Sinclair, a resident of North .Sydney, was disturbed by an intruder in his house last night. A desperate struggle followed. 'Die robber fired twice and seriously wounded Sinclair in the groin. He was arrested, after an exciting chase, during which he fired several shots at his pursuers arid inflicted injuries to a constable's head, battering it with the butt of a revolver.
