At a meeting of the executive of the Waikato Winter Show Association, it was decided to sign a joint and several bond to obtain sufficient money from the bank to purchase land and erect additional buildings for the next show. The expenditure will run into £1000.

Several presentations have taken place here. Mr. McWilliams, who is leaving Tekapa, was presented by the settlers with' a pair of gold-rimmed- spectacles. Mr. W. H. Atkins, of Cousin and Atkins, who is leaving here to take charge of the Auckland business, was presented with a fountain pen. Mr. A. M. Wadmore, of.the Bank of New Zealand, who has been transferred to Tauranga, was presented with a gold-mounted pipe.
