BANK CLERK DROWNED.
' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A single man named James Fleming, a saloon passenger from Lyttelton by the steamer Sfaori, wns seen to disappear overboard as the steamer was approaching Wellington wharf to-day. A, boat was promptly lowered, and the body was found after a little time-, life being ex-' tmct. Fleming was a clerk in the employment of the Bank of New Zealand, and was being transferred from Waimate to Wellington.
