PROCEEDING BRISKLY TO-DAY. The fresh Harbour Beard election of representatives of payers of dues and ' shipowners, rendered necessary by the invalidating of tho poll by Mr, C, C. Kettile, S.M., as a result of the reoent inquiry, is proceeding to-day, and despite the dirty weather the polling is very brisk, Hix candidates'' have been nominated aa follows: — J, H, Gunson, J. J, Craig, H, D, Heather, J, H. Bradney, C, U, Dacre, W, D, Holgate. The only candidate who did net stand ■at the previous election is Air, Holgate. That election, which was voided, resulted as fallows; —Heather, 363; Gunson, 353; Craig, 316; Bradney, 315; Dacre, 1?4. The last two had ibeen previous members, but were beaten by Meosrs Gunson and Craig. There a«s 648 payers of dues en the roll and 353 ships. More than One of the latter frequently belongs to the same owner, and there are probably not more thin from 100 to 150 owners entitled to vate. The poll pleses at 6 o'clock this evening, and intense interee-t centres in the results, The result of the election will be posted putside the "Star" Office this evening, probably about 7 o'clock.
