STRONG CLOSING RATES. 5 LONDON, March 28. At the wool sales just closed 187,000 bales were offered and 05,000 sold for the home market, 69,000 for the Continent, and 18,000 for the American market] while 12,500 bales were held over. Compared with the closing rates of the February series superior greasy merino advanced 5 per cent, medium 10 per cent - inferior 7$ to 10, superior scoured 7J ! to 10, medium inferior and all fine half- . breds 10 to 15, medium crossbreds 5 to . 74, and coarse 5 per cent, In addition, all lambs' wool advanced 5 to 7J per cent.
