FOSTERING BRITISH TRADE.
(Received 9.50 a.m.) STDNET, this day. ' Mr Wicfces, British Board of Trade representative, met the Chamber of Commerce yesterday, and urged the necessity of fostering British interests. His mission to Australia was largely to promote the exchange of raw materials for the manufactured article. He was confident of a big expansion of trade between England and Australia. ■
