NEWTON ANNUAI/ 3IEETIXG. The annual meeting of the Newton District Football Club was held last evening, when there was a large attendance Mr. .?•; Conquer presided. The report aiid "bal-ance-sheet, which showed a credit of £19 odd, were adopted. The report referred" to the Joss the district had sustained by the withdrawal of several of the most prominent players. The fourth, grade championship was won by the club's' team, and the members were congratulated on - their •success. The-election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. H. Conquer; vice-presidents, the same as last year, with a number of others; hon. secretary, Mr. 9. Hlniton; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. Conquer; delegates to A.8.U., Messrs. Conquer, Crawford and Linkhorn; committee, Messrs. W. -Heath, Crawford, Llnkhorn, A. Jones, and Pearee. Several new members were elected, nnd it was decided not to make any alteration in the subscriptions. Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs. H. Conquer and ,Si Hintou for their past services.
