The Thames United foresters' sports committee have added a Marathon JRace to their programme for Easter Monday. The race is to «tart at the Puriri Hotel, .and finish at the Thames sports ground, and a3 this is the first Marathon, race in theee parts, it will rio doubt create a lot of interest. The distance will be ten and .eleven jniles, and besides the us-aal first and second prizes, there -will aiso be a sealed handicap for prize. The nominations for this event will close with the secretary, Mr. S. W. Thompson, Thames, on Wednesday, 7th April, and the date of nominating for the other athletic events closes on Tuesday next, March 30th. The Hon. C. H. Mills is spending a holiday at Rotorua.
